Crews will remove the existing driveway and widen both the roadway and the driveway. Sunday, March 30, to Friday, April 4, 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Motorists can expect eastbound and westbound alternating single-lane closures at the Lake Underhill Road intersection for paving and resurfacing. FDOT encourages all roadway users to drive, walk and ride with caution and courtesy!

Motorists are advised a continuous lane closure will be implemented on the eastbound State Road (S.R.) 408 off ramp (Exit 13) to South Conway Road (S.R.15) starting as early as Friday, March 7. The closure is expected to remain in place through April 2025. Eastbound traffic from S.R. 408 will shift to the left lane of the off-ramp to allow crews to work on sidewalk and drainage at the northwest corner of the Lake Underhill Road and Conway Road intersection.

The southbound lanes of Ocean Shore Boulevard (State Road (S.R.) A1A) between East Granada Boulevard (S.R. 40) and Standish Drive in Ormond Beach will be closed in three nonconcurrent segments, with the first segment starting as soon as Monday, Feb. 17. These closures are necessary to allow for drainage, curb and gutter, and pedestrian enhancement operations.

• Segment 1: The southbound lanes of Ocean Shore Boulevard will be closed between Neptune Avenue and East Granada Boulevard for approximately two months. Please note that the detour will be temporarily lifted for Daytona Bike Week and Spring Break from Friday, Feb. 28 through Sunday, Mar. 23. Construction activities will take place in the shoulder behind barrels. Roadway construction activities and the detour will resume on Monday, Mar. 24.
  • Detour information: Motorists traveling south on Ocean Shore Boulevard wishing to reach East Granada Boulevard will turn right on Neptune Avenue, turn left on North Halifax Drive, and then continue south to East Granada Boulevard.
• Segment 2: The southbound lanes of Ocean Shore Boulevard will be closed between Amsden Road and Neptune Avenue for approximately three months. The closure dates for this segment will be announced subsequently.
  • Detour information: Motorists traveling south on Ocean Shore Boulevard wishing to reach East Granada Boulevard will turn right on Amsden Road, turn left on North Halifax Drive, and then continue south to East Granada Boulevard.
• Segment 3: The southbound lanes of Ocean Shore Boulevard will be closed between Standish Drive and Amsden Road for approximately two months. The closure dates for this segment will be announced subsequently.
  • Detour information: Motorists traveling south on Ocean Shore Boulevard wishing to reach East Granada Boulevard will turn right on Standish Drive, turn left on North Halifax Drive, and then continue south to East Granada Boulevard.

Motorists should be advised that nightly lane closures on Interstate 75 (I-75) northbound, beginning at the County Road 462 overpass in Sumter County (near I-75 northbound Mile Marker 331) and continuing north for approximately two miles (near I-75 northbound Mile Marker 333), will begin as early as Wednesday, February 19.

The nightly single- and double-lane lane closures are scheduled to start as early as 8 p.m. each Sunday through Thursday night and continue through 7:30 a.m. the next morning (Monday through Friday).

These lane closures are needed as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) does shoulder work in this section of I-75 northbound. The work is expected to take approximately five weeks.

FDOT advises motorists to reduce their speed, follow all posted signage, and exercise extra caution in the work zone. Delays may occur. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Beginning in February:

• Pedestrians can expect intermittent sidewalk closures and pedestrian detours from:
  • North Magnolia Ave from the northeast corner of Weber Street to the North Orange Avenue intersection
  • North Orange Ave from North Magnolia Ave to the northeast corner of Highland Ave
• Access to businesses will not be impacted.
• Attached is a project map for this phase one pedestrian detour.

No expected detours at this time.

Friday, Jan. 31., a traffic shift will be implemented on State Road (S.R.) A1A between Milsap Road and University Boulevard.

This traffic shift will convert the roadway to its final configuration and is expected to remain in place as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) continues work on its project to improve safety and traffic operations in this corridor. 

Northbound and southbound traffic has been shifted toward the medians to provide space for crews working in the outside lanes. The center turn lanes within the medians will be maintained.

The speed limit of 35 mph throughout the corridor will be maintained for the duration of the project.

FDOT advises motorists to reduce their speed, follow posted signage, and exercise extra caution in the work zone. Construction schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Monday, March 31 to Wednesday, April 2, from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., motorists can expect northbound and southbound single lane closures on Baxter Street and Ponce Deleon Boulevard for signalization work.

Beginning Monday Jan. 6, there will be detours for Spring Garden Avenue. The closure, located on the east end of Spring Garden Avenue, is needed for roadway resurfacing and to begin transitioning into work on the first half of the roundabout included in this project. No driveways will be impacted by this closure.

The planned detour routes are as follows:

• Motorists traveling south on Lake Winona Road wishing to travel to Spring Garden Avenue will continue south on Lake Winona Road, turn left on County Road (C.R.) 3 North, and turn left on Spring Garden Avenue.
• Motorists traveling south on U.S. 17 wishing to travel to Spring Garden Avenue will turn right on Lake Winona Road, turn left on C.R. 3 North, and turn left on Spring Garden Avenue.
