About

The goal of the project is to enhance safety and operations for all users and extend the service life of the roadway along the corridor. In addition to resurfacing this segment of S.R. A1A, the project will introduce subtle alignment shifts to help encourage safer driving speeds and enhance pedestrian safety. Traffic signal and lighting upgrades, as well as drainage improvements are included.

Pedestrian safety enhancements include wider sidewalks, midblock crossings with pedestrian activated signals, and upgraded curb ramps to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
