About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is repaving the southbound lanes of U.S. 1 (North Washington Avenue/ South Hopkins Avenue/ Edison Avenue) from the Florida East Coast (FEC) railway bridge to Grace Street in Titusville. The resurfacing will extend the life of the existing roadway.

Additionally, the project will include traffic signal upgrades at State Road (S.R.) 406 (Garden Street), Main Street, Julia Street, S.R. 405 (South Street), and Grace Street. To improve pedestrian safety, the project will improve crosswalks, reconstruct pedestrian curb ramps to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)standards, and construct sidewalks connecting to the existing bus stops.

Lane Closures
  • Motorists are advised that a continuous inside lane closure will be implemented eastbound on Garden Street (S.R. 406) and southbound on Hopkins Avenue (U.S. 1).

    The closure is necessary for drainage reconstruction and miscellaneous construction activities. The City of Titusville is conducting this work.

    FDOT encourages all roadway users to drive, walk and ride with caution and courtesy!
