About
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is resurfacing and implementing safety improvements on State Road (S.R.) 551 (Goldenrod Road) from S.R. 408 to S.R. 50. Safety improvements include widening the lanes to make room for bike lanes, constructing raised medians, upgrading traffic signals, and lighting and improving drainage.

Lane Closures

Sunday, December 15, through Monday, December 23, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. the following morning: There will be daily single lane closures on the northbound and southbound inside and outside lanes of Goldenrod Road (S.R. 551) from State Road 408 to Colonial Drive (S.R. 50). Crews will be applying thermoplastic striping to the roadway, starting from the innermost lanes and working outward.
FDOT encourages all roadway users to drive, walk and ride with caution and courtesy!

Sunday, December 1, through Tuesday, December 31, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.: There will be daily single lane closures on the northbound and southbound inside lanes of Goldenrod Road (S.R. 551) from State Road 408 to Colonial Drive (S.R. 50). Crews will be completing final tasks, including valve can adjustments, repairs, signage, and landscaping.
